We are brimming with excitement here at TR as we gain access to our beautiful collection of Antiques imported from the UK. These pieces are works of art in themselves made with high quality materials ranging from solid Mahogany, Oak and Burr Walnut. It is impossible to find pieces such as these in a country as young as NZ which is what led us to start searching overseas for them. All of these pieces have been expertly sourced and checked off by our Antique Agents who have provided circa dates for each piece.
It is incredible to think that some of these pieces date back to the 1800 and early 1900. The Titanic sunk in 1912 and in 1800 Napoleon conquered Italy. To think what life would have been like back then, who these pieces were originally made for, how these pieces would have been used, their lifetime of history. The fact that these pieces have withstood the test of time is testament to the quality craftsmanship that was once put into them and to have them now arrive to Taylored Revival in NZ is just amazing.
These are high quality antique pieces and are stunning as they are, however doing what we do, we have also chosen each piece for their revival potential.
This is our second container that we have imported to NZ directly from the UK, with the first container having being sold predominantly directly into our clients home. These are all one off pieces that you will not find anywhere else and we are excited and proud to be able to provide our customers an opportunity to access such pieces. We like to think that they will be considered heirloom pieces in their new homes and will be passed on for many more generations to come.
This year we have decided to do something a little different, and give our customers the opportunity to purchase these heritage pieces directly at wholesale prices and all will be available for purchase online very very soon. In the meantime here’s a sneak peek at a few!
