Mix it Monday: Creating a “Tealy Blue”

Being in a country surrounded by beautiful beaches, coastal views, beautiful lakes and rivers, it’s not surprising that Annie Sloan’s range of blues fly off the shelves. This week we are sharing a “tealy blue” colour recipe. A rich, vibrant yet sophisticated blue created by mixing  Annie Sloan’s Florence and Greek Blue together. Both Greek Blue and Florence are strong vibrant colours and when mixed together creates a beautiful rich”tealy blue.” A great colour for an accent piece. Perfect for adding that “pop of blue” in the home. This colour also works beautifully when paired with golds and brass. Dark wax it to create a beautifully aged “tealy blue ” (see third picture below) or clear wax it to keep it contemporary. You can adjust the proportions of Florence and Greek Blue depending on how blue/green you want it.  Whether it be on frames, mirrors, furniture, outdoor pots or over your leather chair, however you want to introduce “tealy blue”  into your home, Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan will allow you do to do so. – No Sanding, No Priming, Approx 20 minute dry time….  Visit us at 22 Moore Street for inspiration and advice.
