Time Lapse Video- No Preparation, instant gratification

We still get the daily question of “really? no preparation? I will still have to sand off the varnish right?” So we’ve put together a fun time lapse video of a hall table masked right down the middle, painted on just one side to show that really…. there is no sanding, no priming…  just go ahead and paint with instant gratification.

With this example we have used a two colour distressed technique which we go through in our Chalk Paint™ workshop 101, using Old White and Antibes Green over each other to create a two colour distressed finish. There is only one Chalk Paint™;  Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan a wonderful high quality world wide paint with a strong 25 year history behind it, rich in colour pigments, a  decorative paint that you can use on various mediums including metal (yes you can paint straight over the handles), concrete, matt plastic, terracota,  you can paint upholstery, dye fabrics and so much more . It has an incredible fast drying time of approximately 20 minutes (or even faster in this warmer weather), there is no odour so it means you can paint your piece in situ without dragging it out to the garage. It is designed to be easy to use and allows for stunning results even for someone who has never painted before. We are a proud stockist of Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan, reviving furniture is the core of our business, our furniture gallery is full of hand painted pieces using Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan, where you can come in and touch and feel and see the different colours and finishes (even watch us work in our workshop out the back). To explore and discover the endless possibilities visit us at 22 Moore Street, Howick, Auckland where you  can also view this half and half piece 🙂
