Completed Projects from our workshop attendees

We have had so much fun running our paint workshops 101 over the last few months, it has been such a pleasure getting to know our customers and workshop attendees on such a creative intimate level. We have enjoyed using our expertise to help with concepts and ideas for our customers projects and be able to share in the pride of their beautifully finished projects. The response and feedback around our paint workshops have been both humbling and overwhelming. It’s  great to be able to share our love and passion for what we do on a daily basis. Our furniture gallery in Whitford is a hub of inspiration, full of revived furniture using Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan and it has been invaluable to be able to use this as a part of our paint workshops where people are able to see the techniques they are learning on actual pieces of furniture as well as being able to see some of the beautiful Annie Sloan colours in person and be able to touch and feel the different finishes. Although we will be looking to slow down our introductory workshops to make room for our upcoming intermediate workshops we are currently running our workshop 101’s weekly. The workshop 101 is a great introduction to Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan and her beautiful waxing system. It’s a hands on workshop where attendees are able to learn in a group environment, where questions and ideas are bounced around, each class is different with different questions and dynamics at play but the one thing they do have in common is that it is always a fun creative morning, where the doors for interiors, and colours are suddenly flung wide open. After the workshop, people really get to understand and experience the  tag line “endless possibilities” for themselves. We like to think that the experience with Taylored Revival & Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan doesn’t end after the workshop but is rather where it starts, we provide a great post workshop support network and an online forum exclusive to our customers and workshop attendees. Have we mentioned that we love our jobs!?

Although it is a good idea to attend a workshop so that you get an in depth knowledge and understanding of Chalk Paint™ and it’s endless possibilities, it is certainly not a pre-requisite to using Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan. It is an amazing paint that has been designed to be easy to use to create beautiful finishes regardless of your skill level. We love it when customers come in wanting to start straight away and enjoy sharing our knowledge and expertise to help with ideas and give practical knowledge on how to best start their projects. We have a paint bar in our gallery (it’s the messy part of the shop) where we often play and mix custom colours for customers whether it be  to tone in with a cushion cover or complement a curtain swatch, we’ll create it there and then and if they still cant decide on a colour, we’ll put it on a wooden swatch for them to try out at home.  There is not a day in the gallery where we aren’t talking about colour, or where people are showing us photos of their before and afters, where we huddle around and oooh and ahhh… we love seeing them!  Although all the work has been done by our customers/workshop attendees a little part of us can’t help but take some pride in knowing that we are sharing our love, passion and knowledge with those who are willing to experience what is truly the best paint in the world! On that note take a look at some of the beautiful projects that our customers and workshop attendees have done! We are super proud! Thank you to our lovely workshop attendees and customers for allowing us share these pics!  No Sanding, no priming, minimal preparation, straight into the creatives… x
